Meet writer Holly S from Sandy, UT!
Q. If you had a catchphrase, what would it be?
A. I have only just begun to fall short of your expectations.
Q. What is your day job super power?
A. Brevity.
Q. Best advice you’ve ever received?
A. Getting older is no reason not to do something.
Q. Favorite hat?
A. Something water-resistant, with a short brim.
Q. If there was a movie based on your life, what actor/actress would play you?
A. Laura Prepon. I don’t think anyone else could master my expression of annoyance.
Q. What would the title of the movie be?
A. You Can’t Go Home Again
Q. Favorite thing about WA?
A. Taking a gamble on a new client is really no gamble at all. I don’t like platforms where clients may reject my work based on what they ate for lunch.
Q. Favorite writer, dead or alive?
A. Of all time, probably Edgar Allan Poe. His work drew me to the world of writing, when I was 12. I have conveniently overlooked the rampant alcoholism.
Q. What’s your guilty pleasure?
A. Baking, especially for other people. I love it when parents at a child’s birthday party cannot stop eating the cake.
Q. Favorite breakfast food?
A. Eggs in a basket, but I only just mastered the making of them.
Q. Little known fact about you?
A. Given the chance, I would live in the British Library.
Q. What can’t you live without?
A. Water. Writing is thirsty work.
Q. What advice would you like to leave off with for your fellow writers?
A. Some pools are meant for diving.
