Give Me Word Word and Pseudoword and I.e. Versus E.g.

word word

Seen any weird grammar words of late? I know I sure have. The English language is running rampant with them. Things like ‘word word’ and ‘pseudoword.’ Then you have the questions of what does i.e. and e.g. really mean, and when should you use either of these in a sentence properly? To set the record straight on these strange grammar concepts, please continue.

I.e. Versus E.g.

This first one, i.e. and e.g., does not even get a full on word for a name. But it is a weird grammar thing you probably haven’t thought of before now. When do you use either of these and why? The i.e., according to Merriam-Webster, means ‘that is.’ It’s also the abbreviation for ‘industrial engineer’ and a common suffix for nouns.

E.g., is defined as ‘for example,’ says the same online dictionary, as well as the abbreviation for ‘Egypt.’ Now, when and where do you use either of the i.e. or the e.g. in a sentence? All you have to do is replace the Latin definition for each of these when using them in a sentence, e.g., i.e. would be ‘that is’ and e.g. would be ‘for example.’

Word Word

What what is is this this kind kind of of grammar grammar madness madness?? You have the word word, which should remind anyone of a Dr. Seuss concept come to life. By definition, ‘word word’ is any word that is used twice in order to emphasize the second use of the word. Oh, the word word, you know.  Ok, yes yes.

Pseudoword

Non-words or pseudowords looks like a word but is not spelled with any factuality at all. You can’t say that a pseudoword is just a word misspelled. It’s that far off the sheem. It’s a cigbet wugs and can be seen in action every time you, as a web content writer, develop content based on lorem ipsum placeholder text. Lorem ipsum is the kissing cousin to a pseudoword. Also, individuals with phonological dyslexia may have issues with decoding pseudowords.
