Chuck has over a quarter-century's experience as a writer, columnist and publisher. He began his career in 1986 as a columnist with the Southeast Charlotte (NC) News, where he wrote the syndicated "Coffee Talk". He continued the weekly column until 1994, when he moved from Charlotte to Ashland, Kentucky. Once settled, he continued the column with the local Tri-State Christian News until the business was sold in 2000. A year later, Chuck began publishing his own motivational newspaper, The Window. This appeared monthly until 2007, when overhead costs and the decreasing popularity of hard-copy newspapers made it economically unfeasible to continue publication, he closed the enterprise. Today, he pens two blogs and contributes articles to various online magazines. He has also authored three e-books.
Chuck addresses his topics in a positive, factual manner and even adds a touch of humor when appropriate. He often writes with a conversational tone as he's learned from experience that people are more apt to read or study material if presented as if speaking in a personable manner.
Chuck is interested in music, clean and relative humor, writing, motivational techniques, public speaking, computer technology, history, psychology and religion.
