Michael received his BBA with a focus in marketing from The George Washington University in 2011. While in school he interned for Allied Integrated Marketing, designing and carrying out promotional campaigns for Paramount Pictures and Fox Searchlight films.
Upon graduation, he returned to his hometown of Philadelphia, where he began his professional career as a social media manager, working part time for a small ad-agency, and, simultaneously, an IT company. He spent his days growing his clients' account followings, improving follower/following ratios, creating social media campaigns, and creating original promotional content. During this period, he also got his first experience in video production, scripting, directing, and editing a series of thought leadership videos for his IT company employer, Vitalyst.
After a few months, Michael began to crave a new challenge. He saw copywriting as the next step in his evolution as a creative in the advertising industry, and was soon hired as a junior copywriter at FVM Strategic Communications, a Philadelphia-area B2B agency, where he wrote for multimillion dollar companies CommVault and Univar, as well as the Philadelphia Office of Catholic Education.
In addition to his advertising career, Michael devotes his afterwork hours to his hobby, stand up comedy. He was the winner of the 2015 Philly's Phunniest competition, out of over 350 entrants, and has contributed original comedic content to MTV2 and the 5904 humor magazine.
