Since graduating with a degree in journalism from the nationally known E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University, Aaron has been writing, whether in the newspaper industry, in the freelance writing industry, or in the book industry. Aaron began his writing career in the newspaper industry, working as a sports writer and sports editor for multiple Ohio newspapers. After leaving the industry to teach writing and English for a few years, Aaron returned to the writing field as a freelance writer. He has written for local businesses as well as magazines and other publications. Aaron also has written two non-fiction books.

Aaron has extensive experience in sports writing, working as a sports writer before becoming a sports editor at multiple Ohio newspapers. In addition to writing for newspapers, Aaron wrote two non-fiction books about sports. His first, a biography of Marc Edwards, centered on a football star who overcame multiple obstacles to play football at Notre Dame and ultimately with the New England Patriots where he won a Super Bowl. Aaron's second book is a glimpse into the mental and psychological benefits gained from playing basketball weekly with a group of friends. The book centers on a group of men in Cincinnati who have been playing basketball together every Thursday night for the past thirty years.

Non Profit

Aaron has worked as a freelance writer, once traveling to rural Brazil for a non-profit organization in Cincinnati. His job was document the work being done by this organization as well as the lives of those the organization was helping. He spent two weeks in Brazil, living in landless camps to get to know those being oppressed.

His training at Ohio University and his skill in writing articles earned Aaron several Associated Press Society of Ohio awards for his writing, including Best Sports Writer and Best Sports Story.
