Steve's work within this industry has spanned his entire career. He started out with a small publishing company in Miami as an editor, then worked his way up to Managing Editor of one magazine, and, eventually, to Editorial Director of the company. During his tenure as Editorial Director, the company became the largest in-flight magazine publisher in the world, with clients such as Delta Airlines, USAir, TWA, Northwest, and Iberia Airlines. Later on, Steve became Senior Marketing Director of a public company that built and developed resort properties around the U.S.

During that entire time - and in the years since leaving the corporate world - he's been one of the most active writers in America. He's written/contributed to 17 books - on travel, business, and the arts. He's written for major media all over the world, among them The New York Times, "Business Week," "Travel & Leisure," "Men's Health," The Jerusalem Post, The Irish Times, and The Associated Press.

He's written for major in-flight magazines around the world, among them "American Way," "Delta Sky," "Continental," "EnRoute" (Air Canada), and "Selamta" (Ethiopian Airlines). He's a writer for The State of Florida Division of Tourism. He blogs on travel for several websites. And he continues, as well, to write for business and arts publications.

What would he do to get a story right? Well...here's a brief sample of what he's already done to get a story right! He's been shot at in Northern Ireland. He was Editorial Director of what became, during his tenure, the largest in-flight magazine publisher in the world. Later on, he was Director of Public Relations or Marketing for several large public companies. And, since starting his own Corporate Communications/Public Relations practice, he's created communications and marketing materials for organizations such as CitiGroup, American Airlines, Alamo Rent a Car, The Florida Panthers National Hockey League Club, Miami-Dade College, and Century21, as well as regional and local companies and organizations around the U.S.
