Suzie has always been an avid reader and loves the opportunity to join words into interesting sentences. The type of project can vary depending on the age and type of reader. Having an exciting background and working with all ages of students and clients, Suzie is able to change her style accordingly.

Being a teacher, dog trainer, figure skater, and actress have all provided opportunities for Suzie to write for newsletters, magazines, newspapers, and websites. Her simple style grabs the attention of the reader who is on the constant move with little time for lengthy reads; however, her background in teaching high school and college level writing and editing helps when a professional document is needed.

Suzie holds a master's degree in education and a bachelor's degree in elementary education and English but feels to grow as a writer she needs to continue to educate herself on the most up-to-date forms of communication. She continues to instruct others as well as take classes in writing and editing to improve her writing technique and style.

Honors and Awards
Nomination for Best Supporting Actress Suzie was nominated for best supporting actress as Dinah in the musical South Pacific.

Nomination for Best Actress Suzie was nominated for best actress in the role of "a girl" in the play Where Have All The Lightning Bugs Gone.

1st, 2nd, and 3rd placements Suzie is a regional and state games medalist in figure skating and a sectional and national medalist in adult figure skating. She has completed all levels of testing in freestyle, ice dancing, solo ice dancing, and moves-in-the-field which are disciplines inside the sport of figure skating.

Suzie's has a bachelor's degree in education and English and a master's degree in curriculum and instruction. She has been working with all ages of students for about 20 years: figure skating, tutoring, summer programs, elementary and secondary teaching, and as an adjunct teacher at two colleges.


Suzie believes in the value of community theater for patrons of the arts and the performers. She has been on stage as an actress, singer, and dancer. Working as a stringer for small community newspapers also provided her with the opportunity to attend a festival and parade where people showcased their talents.


Suzie is owned by two yorkshire terriers. They are involved in volunteer work, dog agility, and trick training. Not only have they attended workshops and classes but they have competed and earned titles and ribbons. Suzie is all about natural pet care, so she has been abreast of current health and wellness trends for dogs and chemical free living for about 10 years.


Suzie wrote an article for icenetwork. She interviewed the top four winners at collegiate nationals.

Also for the United States Figure Skating Association, Suzie helped with a petition to add solo ice dancing to competitions.
She helped to write letters to the governing body of figure skating and had her article of support included in a United States Figure Skating online newsletter.


The editor of a small group of community papers that were under the name Eagle Newspapers asked Suzie to interview politicians leaving or taking on new responsibilities.


Suzie worked as a stringer for Eagle Newspapers. In this role, she visited many community members and events and brought to the public's attention their exciting accomplishments.
