After receiving her bachelor's degree in chemistry pharmaco-biology from Autonomous University of Puebla, Silvia worked as chemistry in a clinical Laboratory. Then, she got her PhD on Infectomics from CINVESTAV-IPN. She is currently professor in the Autonomous University of Mexico City (UACM) where she is teaching chemistry and biology of the cell and human body. Her research is about host-parasite interaction and molecular biology. She has participated in several scientific meetings and international congresses presenting in English her research results by poster and oral presentations among Mexico, Spain and United States. Her publications are in indexed scientific journals. She also worked as responsible of the Research Area of UACM, functioning as coordinator and manager of institutional funds for research scientific projects and patents. She has skills to translate scientific texts about medicine, clinical, nutrition and most topics of the biological area. On the other hand, she is a kind person who likes arts, ecotourism and other cultures and she is able to translate daily life contents.
Silvia loves photographing cities and nature. She enjoys yoga, hiking, trekking and staying in contact with nature. She is an active reader of fiction (romance and science fiction). She likes to travel and meet people of other countries. Meditation is the best start to her day.
