After receiving a Degree in Tourism in 2008, Luís worked for some consultancy companies in the Tourism and Hospitality fields, including the multinational company Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels. Working there as a Research Analyst, Luís started translating reports and materials from English into Portuguese (and vice-versa). His career as a professional freelance translator started there and he has gained experience in the following areas: Business, Entertainment, Games, General Translation, General Literature, Hospitality, Human Resources, Information Technology, Juvenile Literature, Localization, Marketing, Media, and Tourism. In 2015, he accomplished a Certificate in Translation Studies (380 hours) and, during his 5-year experience, he has translated more than 1.5 million words from English into Brazilian Portuguese, including a juvenile book.
