Having completed an MA in Translation and Professional Language Skills at the University of Bath in 2013, Amy has been working in the City of London for a variety of Asian banks, providing support, linguistic and commercial, to Russian and French clients alike. Although her job focuses primarily upon banking, she is able to provide in-house translation, report-writing, editing and proofreading skills and is hoping to focus her attention full-time in this area.

Having lived and worked in France as a translator, Amy has had first had experience of translating from French to English in a corporate environment. This has also been applicable in her banking experience, leading her to specialist in financial and business translation.

Having lived in Voronezh, Russia as part of her University of Bath year abroad Amy subsequently decided to undertake an MA in Translation and Professional Language skills, focusing primarily on Russian translation. This has allowed her to develop a higher sensitivity with regards the language and hone her translation skills in this language pair.
