Marie-Claire is a freelance journalist and translator based in Amsterdam. Anything to do with art, culture, food and travel has her special interest. Her work has been published in Dutch papers and magazines such as Het Parool, De Groene Amsterdammer and VARA TV Magazines and she contributed English pieces for Amsterdam Weekly and Fodor's Travel Guides. In 2015 she published a biography on Dutch jazz legend Boy Edgar (in collaboration with Marieke Klomp). Currently she writes for Jazzism and the North Sea Jazz Festival. Marie-Claire started translating (English to Dutch) in 2009 for Time Out and now works for Translation Kings and other agencies.
