For almost 10 years Evelien has worked as a (part time) translator English-Dutch at financial services provider ING. That is where she gained her ample experience in financial translations. During that time she also established herself as a freelance translator, which is now a full time job! Over the years she also gained experience in translations regarding art and tourism.

Banking

During her years at financial services provider ING, Evelien gained ample experience in translating texts on all subjects relating the banking world. After she started working as a freelance translator, not only ING became one of her customers but for instance Rabo and Deutsche Bank as well.

Craft

Over the years, Evelien's interest in art has grown considerably. She took a number of courses in art history, making her even more enthusiastic. Meanwhile she managed to obtain a number of interesting translation assignments on the subject.

During her years at financial services provider ING, Evelien gained ample experience in translating texts on all kinds of financial subjects. She translated many articles for websites, brochures, financial magazines etc.

An art catalogue for a Dutch multinational, a museum brochure on the Chinese terracotta army, a National Geographic travel guide on Egypt: these are all examples of the projects Evelien worked on.
