Alyse specializes in creating documentation for end users. She has extensive experience creating procedures/instructions for various industries and audiences, and she's well-versed in creating quick reference sheets, infographics, knowledge base articles, and release notes. She also has experience transcribing videos, and she is especially considerate of her documentation's accessibility.
Alyse's specialties also include SaaS documentation and creating content strategies for companies of all stages and sizes (from small startups to large enterprises). She has spent the last 2.5 years writing about all things cloud, including AWS, GCP, Azure, and DevOps tools like Kubernetes and Terraform.
In terms of writing, Alyse is really passionate about learning new tech, especially anything cloud-related. So far, she's earned two tech certifications: AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner and Linux Essentials. While she doesn't consider herself a technical person by nature, she plans to continue her tech journey by diving into Python, and continuing to build up her cloud experience.
When she's not playing in cloud sandbox environments, Alyse loves to spend her time cooking, hanging out with her dog, and attempting to apply some interior design to her house; she can design a document with ease, but designing a house is another story.
Alyse participated in a graduate teaching program that allowed her to teach one semester of Business Communication and three semesters of Technical Communication. During that time, she led 150 students and used hands-on assignments to hone students' professional writing and communication skills. In addition, her coursework included:
Web Development and Design
Social Media Writing
Alyse spent two and a half years as a technical writer for an EdTech company, where she specialized in working with cloud content. She gained hands-on experience working on AWS, Azure, and GCP courses, as well as DevOps courses including Kubernetes, Terraform, and Docker. She performed technical edits and copyedits for all course content, and created user guides that gave students experience working in cloud sandboxes.
So far, Alyse has earned two certifications: AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner and Linux Essentials. She plans to continue her cloud learning journey by studying for the Terraform Associate exam.

She also has experience maintaining and overhauling knowledge bases for both internal and external audiences. She's adept at defining audience needs, and creating and executing a content strategy based on those needs.
Alyse has created many technical articles and procedurals throughout her career, ranging from one-page quick references to 1,000-word feature overviews. She has worked in EdTech, InsurTech, eCommerce, and FinTech. She enjoys performing background research and working with SMEs to gather information, and using sandbox environments to test technical articles for accuracy.
Alyse has created over 100 user guides for various cloud computing courses (AWS, GCP, and Azure); these guides allowed students to get hands-on experience with specific learning objectives.
She has also created Marketing product articles for an eCommerce fraud prevention startup.
