Alyse specializes in creating documentation for end users. She has extensive experience creating procedures/instructions for various industries and audiences, and she's well-versed in creating quick reference sheets, infographics, knowledge base articles, and release notes. She also has experience transcribing videos, and she is especially considerate of her documentation's accessibility.
Alyse's specialties also include SaaS documentation and creating content strategies for companies of all stages and sizes (from small startups to large enterprises). She has spent the last 2.5 years writing about all things cloud, including AWS, GCP, Azure, and DevOps tools like Kubernetes and Terraform.
In terms of writing, Alyse is really passionate about learning new tech, especially anything cloud-related. So far, she's earned two tech certifications: AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner and Linux Essentials. While she doesn't consider herself a technical person by nature, she plans to continue her tech journey by diving into Python, and continuing to build up her cloud experience.
When she's not playing in cloud sandbox environments, Alyse loves to spend her time cooking, hanging out with her dog, and attempting to apply some interior design to her house; she can design a document with ease, but designing a house is another story.
Alyse participated in a graduate teaching program that allowed her to teach one semester of Business Communication and three semesters of Technical Communication. During that time, she led 150 students and used hands-on assignments to hone students' professional writing and communication skills. In addition, her coursework included:
Usability Studies
Web Development and Design
Document Design
Grant Writing
Rhetorical Theory
Stylistics
Thesis Research
Social Media Writing
