A educator since 2004, Jennifer has 15 years of classroom experience in elementary, secondary, and special education. Jennifer completed her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from SUNY Oswego in May 2003, graduating with Magna Cum Laude distinction.

Jennifer completed her first Master's Degree in Elementary Education from SUNY Oswego in August 2004, finishing with a 4.0 GPA. Her culminating thesis project explored the uses of hands-on learning materials and activities to teach Social Studies concepts, specifically in regard to teaching Middle Eastern Antiquity to sixth grade students in a public elementary school. She co-authored an article with her graduate thesis advisor, which highlighted the key elements of her academic work and was published in the March/April 2005 issue of Social Studies and the Young Learner.
