A educator since 2004, Jennifer has 10 years of classroom experience in primary, intermediate, and special education. Her NYS certifications include General Education from pre-kindergarten through Grade 6, Social Studies education for Grades 7-9, and Literacy Specialist for Birth through Grade 6. Professional development has been related to the NCLB/Reading First initiative as well as Common Core.
Through her graduate studies, Jennifer completed several research studies, including a thesis project on the use of Montessori-type object boxes to study the impact of hands-on lessons in teaching Middle Eastern Antiquity to sixth graders, as well as a case study on the impact of specific reading interventions on a struggling 2nd grade reader.
