Jennifer specializes in feature writing, but also enjoys the challenge of research and academic writing.
Jennifer W. is a 2008 graduate (with Dean's List honors) of the Indiana University School of Journalism and is a member of the Society of Professional Journalists. A long-time practitioner of yoga, she has special interest in spirituality, green/sustainable living, holistic health and organic and urban gardening.
Jennifer graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in Comparative Literature from Indiana University Bloomington in 2004. Areas of study included African Diaspora, pop culture, Asian literature, and philosophy.
Jennifer graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in English from Indiana University Bloomington in 2006. Areas of study included Victorian, Old English and 20th Century literatures, Shakespeare and Latin.
Jennifer graduated from Indiana University - Indianapolis campus with a B.A. in Journalism in 2008. During her time at the School of Journalism, she worked as features editor for a semester and contributed feature and news articles for The Sagamore, the university's newspaper. She also received Dean's List honors for spring semester 2007-2008 and fall semester 2008.
Since 2007, Jennifer W. has published a variety of articles, including literary analysis and essays, as a freelance writer. She's worked as a full-time journalist for The Republic newspaper in Columbus, Indiana since 2012 and has contributed to several magazines published by Home News Enterprises, the parent company of The Republic newspaper, since 2008. The majority of her journalistic writing has included features and news.
Jennifer has designed and produced newsletter content for several organizations, including publishing companies and secondary and university institutions. Currently, she is the PR/Social Media contact for a farmer's market with more than 100 vendors. As part of that position, she designs and writes a monthly newsletter featuring the latest news, vendor vignettes, featured musical entertainment, and recipes.
