Shannon is an avid reader and writer. She particularly enjoys reading and providing book reviews for writers in a variety of genres, especially mystery and science fiction novels. When someone is entering a new field of work or on the job market, she also enjoys helping those individuals to rewrite their resumes and cover letters so that they make a successful transition to their new career.
Shannon has provided writing, review, and editing support on multiple government projects. This support includes writing requests for proposals, editing proposal narratives, and creating reporting guidelines and templates, and editing notice of awards. She has supported writing client responses to proposal requests, drafted grantee quarterly and annual progress reports, and written consultant contracts.

This experience includes conducting the necessary research to respond to grant questions, crafting the budget for the grant, developing proposal content to describe the program need and outcomes, and creating timelines and workplaces.
