During her time in undergrad, Olivia was an intern at Lee University's office of public relations. As a writing intern, she authored press releases, which required independent research and conducting interviews, among other things.

Additionally, while working towards her Bachelor's in English with an emphasis in writing, Olivia volunteered at a local county jail. This volunteer work consisted of teaching male and female inmates creative writing. Olivia taught from a six-week curriculum she wrote herself. The program grew to three separate subjects (creative writing, poetry, and resume writing).

After graduating with her Bachelor's in English, Olivia went on to receive her MFA in Dramatic Writing from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). While at SCAD, Olivia was a teacher's assistant to an Emmy award winning screenwriter.

Independently, Olivia has self-published a book on amazon and, in 2021, was a quarterfinalist in the ScriptWrite Short Script Contest.
