Aquila is comfortable writing a wide variety of content. Coming from a very eclectic background, she is capable of delving into multitudes of topics with vigor. Newsletters and topical research are among her favorite types of writing, but she is easily intrigued by most forms and will treat every piece as though it is the most fascinating subject she's seen.

Interests

Climbing, white water kayaking, and most forms of travel have been important aspects of Aquila's life. Much of her free time is spent researching plants (specifically carnivorous), language, history, and fitness. Her shelves are packed with books on various factions of science, adventure, cooking, and science fiction. She has worked in many industries, from agricultural R&D to fine dining, and been fortunate to live or travel in many countries.

Education

Cabrillo College

Studied chemistry with a minor in history. Participated in field studies and lab research.

University of Oslo

Studied Norwegian language and culture alongside a plethora of multicultural students. This included field trips around the South-Eastern Norway area.

Humboldt State University

Studied basic emergency medical services and partook in practical medical observation. Passed the NREMT and acquired EMT-B Certificate

College of the Redwoods

As of January 2021, she is progressing in her studies of forestry, natural resources, ecology, and land management.
