Heather is a full-time freelance writer, editor, and author. For over a decade, she has written web copy, novels, film reviews, product comparisons, and articles. She has authored several pieces for J.D. Power, Nada Guides, Digital Trends, Real Detroit Weekly, The Oakland Press, and blogged for The Hunger Games and Catching Fire movie fan sites.

While Heather’s academic background is in creative writing, communications, and art, she acquired certifications in both fitness instruction from the American Council on Exercise in addition to therapeutic and sports massage. Her combined vocational experience in writing, technical business-to-business sales for Toshiba, design, and the health and wellness fields provide a solid foundation for authoring pieces on several topics—the alternative health arena in particular.
