Amber attended the University of Central Florida on a full academic scholarship. As a student, she was accepted into their limited access, specialized film degree program. She was one of thirty students accepted each year out of hundreds of applicants. During her time in the program, she produced a documentary that went on to win an Emmy and gained international distribution. She was inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society and participated in many opportunities through the Burnett Honors College. Amber finished the specialized 5 year program a few semesters early and graduated in the top 7% of the student body at the University of Central Florida.
