Amanda studied Life Sciences Communication (formerly Agricultural Journalism) in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at UW-Madison. This degree program is a journalism program with an emphasis on science and technical writing, as well as business. Amanda also studied Piano Performance and graduated with a double major.
Amanda studied Sustainable Management through an online program offered by the University of Wisconsin Extension. The degree program focused on sustainability, including the natural and built environments, green building design (LEED), the geopolitical environment, leadership, corporate social responsibility, and business.
Amanda previously worked in marketing positions at the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and Slipstream, a nonprofit that focuses on energy efficiency and sustainability. She currently works as a Digital Marketing Specialist in the Division of the Arts at UW-Madison.
