Mike has been called the dog in the “Everything is Fine” meme. He's calm, cool, collaborative, & ready for anything creative. Blog posts, social ads, video scripts, e-books, you name it, he's on it.

Currently he is freelancing with IDEO.org as they work with Water.org. He's responsible for social ads, blogs, notification alerts & the coolest bank statements in the world for Water.org's savings account app, Float.

At The Grommet, he was all over the creative process. He managed Grommet Blog, leading the editorial focus, as well as writing, editing, scriptwriting, video production & SEO wizardry.

He simultaneously ran The Grommet social media. He led the distribution strategy & provided performance analysis. In his tenure, he saw an increase on Instagram of engagement 200%, audience 104%, patience with commenters 300% YoY from '17-'19.

The holiday season is go time for The Grommet and Cyber Weekend is especially big. They needed a way to pierce the promotion and discount noise and frame them as a place for gifts you don’t normally see. Mike and the creative time created a series of social videos that highlighted the product quickly, framed the Grommet as a destination for gifts, and had fun with tying each to a moment the viewer might be experiencing.

In total, the 5-part campaign yielded 150k+ views, 10k engagements, & 1k unique visitors across social.
