Mike managed The Grommet Blog, a gifting and consumer products blog. Content included how-to's, gift lists, and product features for tech, travel, sustainable, beauty, and kitchen products.
Mike ghostwrote for The Grommet CEO Jules Pieri on a number of societal topics including technology, small business, and sustainability.
Mike wrote profiles for philanthropies and non-profits featured on The Grommet. Mike also hosted and produced The Grommet Meet the Maker Podcasts which featured small businesses that operated as social enterprises.
Mike managed The Grommet Blog, a gifting and consumer products blog. He also led editorial focus, as well as writing, editing, scriptwriting, video production & SEO wizardry.
Mike is working with IDEO.org as they hope water.org launch Float, their new savings account. This includes writing emails for account signups, deposits, and the coolest bank statements in the world.
The holiday season is go time for The Grommet and Cyber Weekend is especially big. They needed a way to pierce the promotion and discount noise and frame them as a place for gifts you don’t normally see. Mike and the creative time created a series of social videos that highlighted the product quickly, framed the Grommet as a destination for gifts, and had fun with tying each to a moment the viewer might be experiencing.
In total, the 5-part campaign yielded 150k+ views, 10k engagements, & 1k unique visitors across social.
