Onyekachi is a Senior English Major, Sociology Minor at Howard University from the Bronx, NY. Coming into college, Onyekachi was undecided in what he wanted to major in, only aware that he previously excelled in his social sciences courses, such as English and World History, in High School. In his freshman English class, his professor, Dr. Jovonne Bickerstaff, emphasized the power of language in spheres of influence and how vital it is for underrepresented minorities to wield this power to evade their own erasure. Since then he has developed a stronger passion for the social sciences and the study of the human experience as told through the written narrative.
