She began her studies as an English major with a minor in Political Science. She then switched to Communication as a major in order to concentrate on technical writing.

Bridget provided web content, website maintenance, and social media updates for Routt Catholic High School and 8 Points Charter School, Inc. while employed with those organizations. Bridget also published various marketing publications for each school, including but not limited to: annual fund appeals, annual reports, scholarship directives, donor appeals, major gifts mailers, enrollment/recruitment materials and promotional fliers.
Bridget wrote for the United States Department of Education Charter School Program grant, the Walton Family Foundation Grant, the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, and the Tracy Family Foundation grant while employed with 8 Points Charter School, Inc.. Prior to this, Bridget helped co-author the Illinois State Early Learning Standards for the Illinois State Board of Education when employed at Jacksonville School District #117.
Bridget also writes for fundraising and marketing purposes, having created various stakeholder communications for non-profit organizations. These communications include, but are not limited to: press releases, annual fund appeals, donor solicitations, student recruitment materials, brochures, web content, social media updates, e-mail content, and parent communications.
Bridget wrote the business plan and human resources model for 8 Points Charter School, Inc. This included all internal financial controls, accounts receivable and payable set-up, employee contracts, and outside contracts for the organization.
Bridget has prepared over 20 presentations through use of a range of MS Office applications. Presentation topics range from professional development, college level course content, data analysis, needs assessment, and general information.
