Shelley took forty-two English course credits and earned a 4.0 GPA as well as an Outstanding Graduate certificate.
Shelley earned a 3.85 GPA for fifty-six undergraduate English course credits.
Shelley prepared eighteen issues of a classified advertising newspaper for homeschoolers. She was in charge of the design, composition, editing, proofreading, printing, and distribution of the publication. Shelley also edited and published a small circulation magazine for homeschoolers, and worked as a proofreader for twelve monthly newspapers as well as working as education reporter for same. As contract administrator, Shelley reviewed and edited more than 400 purchase order contracts in the waste water industry. Shelley has also taught journal writing and autobiography writing workshops in the community. For some thirty-five years, Shelley has edited and published education, community, and religious newsletters. In addition to freelancing work, Shelley is collaborating with a colleague in writing a grammar textbook for college undergraduates.
Shelley has written articles ranging from seventy-five words to 1,000 words in fields ranging from education to music to literature in both newsletters and newspapers. She is well known for never having had a headline changed by an editor, and her writing has been edited only for length and never for less-than-stellar writing.
