Savannah H's Non Profit Industry Experience

4 Projects Completed

Savannah has taken the concept of writing articles to a new level. Her willingness to publicly admit her personal flaws and struggles gives a higher sense of credibility to her writing. She has the natural ability to draw readers in by allowing herself to be vulnerable and human, and informs them of the more serious issues and true focus of the article without making it obvious. She has a gift that cannot be taught in a classroom or workshop - the gift of being able to empathize and connect with almost anyone on a deep level through her writing.

Specialties

Savannah specializes in Human Interest pieces. She is currently a Psychology major, and because of that, she's spent a great deal of time studying mental illnesses as well as the laws and regulations that are in place regarding those illnesses. She also specializes in research papers, business plans, and investigative journalism.

Interests

Her interests include nonprofit organizations, sports, politics, and human interaction in today's society.

Education

Academy of Contemporary Music at UCO

Savannah began her college career pursuing her dream of becoming a successful musician. Although she enjoyed her experience at ACM, she soon came to realize that her time would be better spent pursuing a degree in a more realistic field.

University of Oklahoma

After taking a few years to reflect on her true passions in life, Savannah returned to school, first as a Journalism major, but very quickly switching to Psychology. She found her calling in the act of studying other people and using her empathetic nature to positively affect the lives of those who are struggling. She has published multiple research papers focused mainly on common mental illnesses, organizations that help those who cannot help themselves, and political influences in the laws and health care reform that affect all treatment options for those struggling with these disorders.
