He has a broad range of skills and experiences, including developing and directing content marketing and communications programs; creating and executing demand generation campaigns and creating strategic messaging for external and internal audiences.
From a writing and editing perspective, Michael has worked on a broad range of marketing materials (examples include, eBooks, webinars, infographics, guides, case studies, product videos, etc.) and has experience optimizing blog content for search engines and lead generation
He currently works for a company that provides ERP data security and compliance technology.
Michael spent 14 years working for a provider of software and services for the multifamily and rental housing industry. Property types include apartments, student housing, affordable housing, senior housing, and single family housing. He created a variety of content that provided information on apartment market trends, news, marketing tips and operational strategies for apartment and rental housing professionals.
Michael has worked on a variety of eBook projects that range from interactive assessment guides complete with worksheets and do-it-yourself instructions, thought leadership, and industry predictions. One of his core themes was online proofing and collaboration. He's also written about the "four Ps" of marketing: people, process, platforms, and productivity.
In 2010, Michael launched and managed the multifamily industry-focused blog, Property Management Insider (PMI), focusing on news, best practices, and case studies. He established PMI as a trusted industry resource, through blog articles that were regularly reprinted in trade publications and on other websites. Upon leaving PMI, Michael was a regular blog manager and contributor for multiple companies and websites, such as HubSpot, Business.com, ProofHQ, and Workfront.
Whether he's encouraging his running group, educating customers on the latest product release, shining the spotlight on a particular department or building community with the readers of a blog, Michael has written, edited and published internal and customer-facing print and online newsletters for two decades. He is a believer in the power of the newsletter to connect with and stay in touch with customers and employees and provide companies with an underutilized source of revenue.
