Jade attending New Castle Area Vocational School while attending high school and earned a vocational degree in computer operations. The class included all the prepwork to become A+ certified, including software and hardware applications, fiberoptic and Cat5 network wiring, and troubleshooting. As part of this program, she competed regionally in HTML programming, statewide in Java Programming, and nationally with her E-commerce team.
Jade attended Patton University online for nearly two years as a Business Management major where she completed the majority of her core classwork before choosing to transfer schools and change her major to Creative Writing and English.
Jade transferred to Southern New Hampshire University in October of 2016 to pursue a degree in Creative Writing and English. She specializes in Fiction writing.
Jade is a passionate home cook with knowledge in traditional American fare and a love of Asian cooking—especially Korean. As a designer for a self-publishing company she assisted with the formatting of recipe books (with and without photos) for dozens of cookbooks in order to optimize recipe comprehension and visual appeal. She has also created Facebook "recipe albums" which combine a basic recipe description with detailed instructions in a fun, conversational tone attached to step-by-step photographs of the cooking process.
Jade is an avid multi-platform gamer who has written walkthroughs, tip guides, and detailed reviews for Nintendo DS and mobile games, but she specializes storywriting for pen-and-paper role playing games and live-action gaming. She was a primary staff member and storywriter for her local Live Action Role Playing (LARP) gaming group for over nine years. She wrote between two and four plotlines monthly and created unique, branching story elements to allow for player choice.
Jade has been involved in several pagan groups in her area for many years and has assisted with the organization of documents for teaching classes and ceremonial gatherings. A practicing pagan herself, she takes the topic very seriously and has conducted extensive research into the highly varied aspects of different belief systems within neo-paganism and its near-relative, Wicca. She has extensive knowledge of topics such as tarot, herbalism, ritual, and theological history (especially that of Ancient Rome).
Jade worked as a marketing designer for a self-publishing company for three years. She created bookmarks, business cards, and other promotional material for authors in both fiction and nonfiction genres. She provided summaries of content to help promote the books through these marketing materials and worked closely with the authors to provide customization and editing.
Jade has worked as a ghost-cowriter and editor of novella-length fiction books (80-120 pages) written by self-published authors. She has worked closely with authors to integrate her writing style with theirs and has helped sew up holes in continuity and gaps between scenes.
Jade has a friendly and approachable style of writing that engages blog readers and keeps them entertained. She has written short, blog-style gaming reviews and cooking articles as well as chapter-length entries for online novels.
