The Great Lakes Marathon Series is an association of 24 marathons surrounding the Great Lakes. As community manager, Christina engaged the audience with relevant 3rd party non-competitive content as well as the latest marathon updates from the community. Building a schedule of daily themed posts (#MotivationMonday, #tmiTuesday, #WellnessWednesday, #ThinkingThursday, etc.) enabled the audience to devour the targeted running information they craved. Getting to know this unique audience of distance runners, who routinely spend upwards of 4 hours a day running, meant completely reimagining the timing of optimal post engagement.
