Tora enjoys traveling. She also enjoys being involved in her community. However, learning new things whether it be through new experiences or studying to do so is the thing she enjoys the most.
Tora graduated from Elizabethtown Community College with a degree of an Associate of Science with Human Service/Resource. Tora took the long route in just getting her associate degree in that she decided prior to being one semester away from starting her student teaching block in Elementary Education she began pursuing a different degree. Although it was a lengthier process to move on to the next chapter, it is not one she regrets. Originally having started toward an Education Degree she received a vast knowledge of the Education System, Childhood Brain Development and Childhood Social Development. These subject matters still intrigue her today; therefore, she takes the time to stay abreast the subject matters. Much of this interest in what sets the framework for what an individual can or may become later in life is what lead her to change her to degree to Human Services/Human Resources. By doing so Tora was able study more into things such as Modern Social Problems, Group Dynamics and even dabble in Criminology. She feels very well versed in all these subject matters which is likely lead by the fact it appeals to her strongly in learning how and why individuals do, say or think and the connection of all things listed above have in playing into that development.
Fast forward a couple years after Tora had taken a break from school due to life. Once again she found herself at a crossroads. Although she truly loved all the things studied for her Associates degree, she found that she was thirteen years deep at that time into a successful Insurance Industry career and had taken a lot of time, blood, sweat and tears to become licensed in Property, Casualty, Health, Life and Crop Insurance. Therefore, once again Tora decided to switch gears and earned a degree in Business Management. She feels very strong in her knowledge in everything Insurance and has even worked in Insurance claims for 8 years now. For a total of sixteen total years working with the same insurance company and dealing with a variety of different Insurance Companies, her practical understanding of the subject matter is impeccable. Although it was not the business she began her education journey in, she credits much of her success in what she learned during her early education years. She feels that so learned during that time helped in her understanding individual circumstances and personalities to best accommodate and appeal to the consumer or individuals that she works with or around on a regular basis.
Tora has worked in the Insurance Industry for 16 years. She is licensed in life, health, property and casualty insurance. She also has an expansive knowledge on the claim process and polices and their overages. She is very literate in reading and understanding insurance policy manuals and being able to interpret them so that those that are not within the industry are able to better understand, also that those within the industry are able to verify coverage that may or may not be there for the consumer.
Tora has studied and implemented Marketing procedures for over twenty five years now. She has a gift and love for studying, working strategies and promotions that will bring consumers in and keep them there. She has studied and has a talent for knowing what consumers want and need or being able to market them so that they think they must have it. She has studied and implemented things such as product placement all the way to advertising.
Tora is ready, willing and able to take on about writing task thrown in her direction. If she is not what she would consider herself an expert in the area; she is willing to get feedback from those that are, research the subject matter and study it until she feels completely confident in her work on the topic she is given. Her past education and the ability to self teach and then write about it, will prove to be nothing short of distinguished.
Tora is able to expound and explain using terminology that is dynamic to whatever consumer, industry or individual she is trying to appeal to or help in understanding. With her background in doing things such as reading product manuals and pilot testing products, she is able to easily break down the product into language that the desired bracket can better understand.
With Tora being able to paint a picture with her words and find just the right font, color or graphics for a product, destination, company, informative brochure etc. She is able to make individuals want to come running to use the product being featured in a brochure, radio commercial, newspaper ad or any means of advertisement desired. She is able to have individuals wanting to vacation at the destination being promoted, jump on board with the company being spotlighted or peak interest in learning even more information on what is being advertised. She takes the time to do expansive research into what is wanted of the advertisement and appeal to the group dynamic desired.
