Lauren is most qualified in copywriting for online and print advertising, website copy, press releases, social media content, short articles, email marketing, and marketing collateral (i.e. in-store signage, promotional flyers, etc.).
Lauren enjoys any topic related to retail, fitness, beauty, sports, food, and art, however, she is happy to write about topics outside of those realms.
Lauren received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications, with a concentration in Advertising from California State University, Fullerton in December 2015. She also earned a minor in Fine Arts, and is highly capable in graphic design.
While working as the Marketing & Sales Associate at KBS Golf Shafts, Lauren worked on a multitude of copywriting projects. Included in her responsibilities were writing and proofreading press releases, copy for a website overhaul, copy for product box inserts, copy for informational handouts, social media content, product descriptions, and more.
In the fall of 2015 Lauren fulfilled the role of Retail Marketing Intern with the popular lifestyle brand O'Neill, which is prominent in the surfing industry. Lauren was responsible for creating marketing collateral such as in-store signage, handouts, business cards, flyers, coupons, and other material that would be featured in O'Neill retail stores across the country. Additionally, Lauren wrote and managed the copy for all of the O'Neill retail Facebook pages, and managed email marketing campaigns to raise awareness among consumers for promotions happening in stores near them.
While working for KBS Golf Shafts by FST, Lauren was responsible for writing press releases when players using KBS shafts won tournaments on the PGA Tour, Web.com Tour, European PGA Tour, and for other noteworthy accomplishments in the golf industry. Additionally, Lauren wrote press releases for new product launches, website updates, and various other KBS news. Each press release was sent through Constant Contact, an online email marketing software that allows businesses to compile lists of recipients and their email addresses. Each press release was sent to an average of 70,000 email recipients.
Lauren was the Retail Marketing Intern for the popular lifestyle brand O'Neill during the fall of 2015, which allowed her to craft marketing related emails and collateral. She gained experience writing the copy for flyers, emails, and in-store signage to feature sales and promotions at O'Neill retail stores. Interning with O'Neill helped Lauren develop her knowledge of consistent marketing and brand continuity, and that transpires to her professional writing. Though she was not paid for her work with O'Neill, Lauren received 3 units of college credit for 150+ hours of work over the course of a semester.
