Becca's specialties are writing for the health, wellness, and fitness industries. She has written extensive email campaigns and countless blog posts on everything from testosterone optimization to mindfulness to exercise programs to supplementation to the benefits of walking. She is a former martial artist, weightlifter, yogi, runner, hiker, and more, so she can draw from a wide range of experience. She is also adept at reading and interpreting research for the layperson.
Outside of the fitness world, Becca is a former musician and an avid cook. She is a nature lover and a former bicycle commuter. She worked in the film and television industry for seven years and was also an event promoter in Los Angeles. In other words, she has a wide range of interests and is able to enroll people in her (and your) enthusiasms with a special combination of skill and creativity.

Becca attended Grand Valley State University as part of theirs Honors Program. She majored in Film and Video Production and double minored in Business and Russian Studies.
Becca attended the prestigious and highly competitive USC Film School and received her MFA in June of 2000.
Through the UCLA Writer's Program, Becca took numerous writing courses over a period of a few years. She studied both fiction and non-fiction writing, and in both long and short form.
At the Attic, Becca mainly focused on non-fiction studies. She took courses in writing book proposals, how to conduct research for non-fiction projects, essay writing, idea generation, and also short story writing.
LitReactor is an online school founded by Chuck Palahniuk. Through LitReactor, Becca studied with successful short story and novel writers and also learned directly from an agent how to best write a query letter.
Becca has been a writer in the fitness industry for over a decade. She has written for publications such as Greatist, The CrossFit Journal, and Breaking Muscle, and has ghost written for books, blogs, landing pages, and email campaigns. As a former athlete and a fitness enthusiast herself, she has a wide range of knowledge to draw upon in writing her articles. She was a group fitness instructor and personal trainer in Los Angeles and has experienced firsthand how to communicate effectively about fitness. She currently writes copy for StrongFirst and Whole Life Challenge.
Becca has worked as a manager of athletes and an event coordinator in addition to doing media coverage of sporting events ranging from MMA to weightlifting. She worked as part of the crew on MMA promotions in California and Oregon. Combined with her own experience as an athlete, this allows her a unique perspective to write on sports ranging from powerlifting to strongman to fencing to marathon running.
Nutrition is not just an area of expertise for Becca--it's a personal passion. As a former coach and trainer, Becca learned everything she could about nutrition and supplementation so that she could pass on a healthier lifestyle to her clients.
