Keren specializes in Communication technologies, and the ways new innovations have shaped the thought processes and mechanisms of the world we live in. She enjoys writing about education, both from the unique perspective of a home-schooled individual as well as sharing her insights as a teacher. Keren also enjoys writing about her many travels, and enumerating the differences and similarities she encounters across cultures, lands and peoples.
Keren writes articles and essays, and dabbles in free verse poetry. Her articles run the gamut from book and product reviews, to personal essays based on experiences, and topical articles.
Keren enjoys reading, anything from philosophy to fiction, poetry to prose. She enjoys dancing, and is proficient in several styles including salsa, ballroom, and west coast swing.
As a student of nutrition Keren is keenly aware of many of the health issues facing the nation and is intrigued with finding and implementing practical and effective solutions to these. She is a huge proponent of healthy eating as the first step to a healthy lifestyle, and is currently writing a thesis which investigates solutions to nutritional issues in the U.S.
Keren also enjoys cooking, and is proficient in Italian, Peruvian, and Indian cuisines. She has taken several culinary courses both in the United States and in India, and enjoys experimenting with fusions.
Keren is a Communication Major at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is a member of the Honors College, and is earning a Minor in Nutrition. She will be graduating with her Bachelor of Arts degree in June of 2017.
Keren has written articles about art, fashion, and entertainment for a number of blogs and content websites. Many of her articles deal with the ways technology affects and impacts various industries. She has written opinion pieces based on first hand observations as well as impartial third person accounts.
Keren has worked for several non-profits over a 7 year time span, helping to curate and write content for Newsletters and websites. Most recently she served as the Communication Intern at the Illinois Equal justice Foundation in Chicago, where she wrote numerous articles, blog posts, and reports on IEJF grantees and initiatives.
Keren is a Nutrition Minor at the University of Illinois where she will be graduating in the summer of 2017. Her interests include nutrition for adolescents and teenagers, food deserts in urban areas, fortification in foods, and cuisines from around the world. She is currently writing a research thesis on fortification as a part of her capstone project from the Honors College of UIC, and hopes to one day publish a cook book based on her many travels across the globe.

Posts range in topic from short reviews of products and services to longer pieces on art, fashion, travel, and cuisines, to posts centered on new technologies and innovations in various fields.

She enjoys writing about current events, and has written articles describing popular trends, products, schools of thought etc.
