Erin loves adding stamps to her passport, photography, scuba diving, hiking and cooking. She has snorkeled with whale sharks, won over 10 Pollie Awards (the "Oscars" of political advertising), and volunteered as an English teacher in Ecuador. On any given weekend, Erin can be found hiking with her chocolate lab, exploring the nearest aquarium or art museum, or perfecting her secret cheesecake recipe.
Erin completed a four-year undergraduate program in three years, graduating magna cum laude. Her studies focused on American politics, communication, international relations, psychology and photography. She completed advanced coursework at the Annenberg School for Communication and graduate work at the Fels Institute for Government.
This intensive one-year Master's program provides a strong theoretical and practical background in the fields of communications, media and politics. It culminates with a quantitative research-based dissertation. Erin graduated with Distinction (the UK's equivalent of summa cum laude) and completed her dissertation on the media's coverage of political spouses, using the coverage of Michelle Obama during the 2007-2008 presidential campaign primaries as a case study.
