Jessica is a freelance writer and editor who has several years of experience contributing to a multitude of publications. She recently authored the eBook The Realist Bride. Jessica has expertise in and writes about weddings, real estate, healthcare, vegetarianism, pets, and movies.

Weddings
While planning her own wedding, Jessica realized how difficult an engagement can be, from etiquette to family drama to budget issues. While researching, she started a personal blog documenting her journey, including humorous anecdotes, personal struggles, and advice for fellow brides. Because of the positive feedback and strong following of the blog, Jessica decided to write The Realist Bride, a funny, informational and candid guide on how to plan a wedding without losing your mind.

Real Estate
Jessica is a licensed real estate agent with the state of Michigan and belongs to the National Association of Realtors as well as the Greater Metropolitan Association of Realtors. She holds her license with Century 21, one of the largest real estate brokers in the country. Jessica deals in residential properties, working with buyers and sellers, lessees, and investors.

Vegetarianism
Jessica has been a vegetarian for over ten years. She has gone through intermittent phases of veganism and she only uses cruelty-free products. She has done extensive research on vegetarianism and is interested in helping people achieve fitness and health goals through a meat-free lifestyle, as well as helping people identify and use cruelty-free products.

Pets
Jessica has extensive experience working with animals over a number of years. In college, she was on the Board of a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue, working with dogs and cats pulled from shelters with high kill rates. She ran adoption events and fundraisers and coordinated the volunteer program while writing a monthly newsletter to past and potential adopters.

Over the course of two years, Jessica personally fostered and adopted out over twenty shelter pets. After working with the rescue, Jessica worked as a veterinary technician at one of the shelters, working as a direct liaison between the shelter and a variety of rescue groups. Jessica continued her technician work at a veterinary clinic, assisting with providing medical care for dogs and cats of clients.

Movies
A true movie lover, Jessica runs a site dedicated to news, reviews, and interviews for horror films at The Nightmare Network. She fields press releases and screener/review requests from production studios and conducts interviews with actors, directors and producers. She is an affiliate of CryptTV, the Eli Roth and Jason Blum backed company that produces horror shorts and judges films and hosts at horror conventions.
