Pursuing her passion for writing, Dianne earned a bachelor of arts degree in English with a Writing Emphasis notation. In addition to her English classes, Dianne did extensive writing in Rhetoric, Political Science and Sociology. She also served on the school newspaper staff, and wrote regularly for a local newspaper.
Dianne spent the first 5 years of her proposal writing career working her way "up the ladder" at a health insurance company. In the process, she learned to write about every aspect of the company and its products - from call center operations to implementation of HIPAA to health initiatives targeting specific populations. When the company made the leap from HMO plans to a more varied product portfolio, Dianne wrote the proposal that won the company its first PPO contract.
Dianne has worked full-time as a proposal writer within the staffing industry for the past 7 years. She has written RFP responses, unsolicited proposals and brief papers describing her employer's experience in particular industries. Topics covered include managed service provider (MSP), recruitment process outsourcing (RPO), independent contractor compliance and payrolling services, as well as vendor management system (VMS), applicant tracking system (ATS), statement of work (SOW) and freelancer management technologies.

One of Dianne's favorite project types is the white paper. When writing a white paper, Dianne begins by identifying key questions potential clients are asking. Investigation comes next, to reveal the questions' detailed answers. Finally, she weaves the information into a paper that is logical, interesting and informative. As a proposal writer for an energy efficiency solutions company, Dianne researched and wrote a white paper for a company sales director to present at an industry conference. The paper was well received and the company reproduced it as a marketing piece. She also wrote two papers for a workforce solutions company, each highlighting the company's experience in a particular industry.
Dianne has written brochures and sell sheets for an energy solutions company and an education provider.
