Debra has extensive experience in communications, specifically law enforcement, private Investigations and both medical and legal transcription. She also has extensive experience in research.
Debra is interested in general writing and would welcome the opportunity to expand her abilities outside of her areas of expertise. Her strength in research should convey confidence to anyone considering her for a writing assignment. She has a solid command of the English language and expresses her thoughts well in the written language.
Debra has experience researching subjects and preparing reports to assist agents in a private investigation agency. This entails performing extensive online research in regards to subject and location checks and cross-referencing information on multiple websites for accuracy as well as incorporating additional details.
Her prior experience involves handling radio communications and dispatching police officers to calls for assistance. This required an extensive knowledge of geography and roadways in order to dispatch police officers to the correct areas, while at the same time monitoring their locations to ensure officer safety. High functioning computer assisted devices were utilized. She assisted officers by securing backup in emergency situations, which often included handling shootings, vehicle chases and setting up perimeters in order to assist in the apprehension of a fleeing subject.
Debra has experience preparing medical reports for physicians and court hearings, specifically IME's. (independent medical evaluations). She also has experience preparing reports for medical offices and private physicians.
Debra has experience drafting fliers promoting free, healthy meals for the underprivileged in the community. This included the incorporation of art work. This corresponded with her time spent volunteering in homeless shelters, as well as soup kitchens set up in local churches. The fliers would be tailored to reach out to specific groups who may need assistance. At times, fliers would be needed to advertise other services that were being offered to the less fortunate, such as free haircuts, school supplies for children, or bags containing food at the holidays. This was strictly volunteer work.
In addition, Debra has experience developing media to promote the local non-profit community playhouse, which she also managed for over two years.
