Krista is a Varsity cheerleading coach, former personal trainer and avid gym-goer who enjoys all things fitness. She loves to compete in bodybuilding and fitness shows annually and enjoys creating new recipes that fit within her healthy diet and lifestyle. Krista also enjoys modeling and photography, as she enjoys being both in front and behind the camera.
About 3 years ago she opened a women's online clothing boutique, where she sells a variety of women's clothing, accessories and shoes. Krista worked with a developer to create the website, wrote the content and launched it with a lot of success. She is currently in the process of overhauling the site. Creating a more sleek, user-friendly design that is easy to shop on a mobile or desktop device.
Krista is a dog-lover. She has helped several rescues in the area raise funds to help their cause, getting local animals the veterinary and foster care that they need through local fashion shows, calendars, etc. She owns a 13-year-old black lab named Shea and has helped her brother rescue an American bulldog from Georgia named Nico.
In 2013, Krista purchased her first home. She enjoys completing home improvement projects and spends a lot of time working in her yard.
When she isn't writing, working out, competing, coaching or spending time with her dog, she enjoys taking time out to read, travel, and spend time with friends.
Graduated from Central Michigan University with a BAA in Integrated Public Relations and minor in Journalism in 2006. Completed four internships prior to graduation gaining experience in public relations, communications, event planning/management and content creation.
As the staff writer for C&G Newspapers, Krista was responsible for covering community news and events. Covering areas from crime to education, Krista worked with three different school districts in the Macomb Township and Chesterfield Township areas.
Krista spent time as a reporter for the Macomb Township Chronicle. She covered a wide variety of topics including non-profit organizations including The Rainbow Connection.
As a staff writer for the National Tour Association (NTA), Krista wrote for the Trip Planner Magazine - a national publication distributed to tourism agencies and other travel professionals. The publication covered a variety of group travel opportunities, travel news and opportunities in the industry.
Krista provides a number of blog posts for a number of different websites in a variety of industries.
