Jonathan completed his Bachelors degree at the University of Utah (David Eccles School of Business), majoring in Finance, and minoring in Spanish. He also studied Philosophy at the University of Utah, and before that at the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Jonathan started writing for publication in 2003, primarily for city magazines and business journals, as well as writing content for business Web sites and SEO Content, during which time he has had the opportunity to interview several business owners and leaders, as well as legislators and local leaders. He has written extensively about trends in business and marketing, as well as the effects of legislation on businesses.

He has interviewed Chicago-based alternative folk/rock band Wilco, the St Louis-based alternative rock band Ludo, independent singer/songwriter Lizzie West, and many others, including country music legend Willie Nelson.
