Jessica started her journey in the Entertainment Business, earning an Associate of Science in Recording Arts. It was here that she gained a firm grasp on the technical aspects of music and live sound. Her networking within the university earned her experience within major markets and working amongst national and international clientele. This includes the writing of biographies, technical copy, ad copy and more.
Jessica earned her Bachelor of Science from Full Sail University, while transitioning into the professional world. Simultaneously providing services in both Entertainment Business and Professional Services, Jessica gained amazing career development experience. She learned to craft important technical documents, business plans, proposals and more. She began to utilize her newfound abilities through commissioning by small business owners and clients in the real world.
Furthering her education in Entertainment Business, Jessica learned how to develop and write extensively detailed plans of action, training documentation and public relations materials. This opened many doors, as she was now able to provide clients with standardized approach to complex documentation. Impacting future abilities, it was here that Jessica gained a well-rounded understanding of how information may best be presented in the professional and executive capacity.
Prior to this program, Jessica had been engaged in Internet Marketing for almost 10 years. This included five on the professional level. Through this program, she was able to gain a more concrete understanding of advanced Internet Marketing principles, strategies and "hacks." She learned how to craft search terms through advanced search engine optimization tactics and how to archetype voices through social media profiles. It was here that she evolved her storytelling and awareness abilities -- creating interest and visibility amongst saturated content platforms.
It was here that Jessica learned to be more concise. Often wordy, Jessica learned how to get straight to the point and to even become less "text heavy" in the digital marketplace. Content for the web and in print needs a perfect balance of imagery, text and white space. She learned to create more appealing copy in very few characters. It was here that, while a design program, her writing really excelled.
