Despite having a deep interest in political science and the study of languages, Erin's passion for literature and writing led her to pursue an English Literature degree. As Columbia has some of the best literature and writing professors in the world, the desire proved irresistible. She found herself studying great writers of history, attending enlightening workshops which vastly improved her authorial skills, and even studying abroad in Paris on an intense writing sabbatical. Of course, as Columbia prides itself on a holistic education, Erin also studied philosophy, music, art, and science. She is proud to be a graduate of her esteemed alma mater.
Erin was commissioned to write a profile of Trisha Goff, a former high fashion model turned real estate agent, for Residency NY magazine. Goff was extremely pleased with the article, saying "I really enjoyed reading it." The profile was published March 2014.
Erin was commissioned to write a piece about the overnight show at WKCR, Columbia University's radio station. She focused on getting to know the staff, and illuminating the unusual and interesting music that is played on the waves in the wee hours of the night.
Erin runs her own personal blog, and has been commissioned by Columbia University and Learn Club Dance to write for their respective blogs. She is skilled at synthesizing information and presenting it in a concise, entertaining way that is essential to blogging. Below is an example of a piece she wrote for Learnclubdance.com, a site which not only focused on dancing, but relationships and dating as well.
