Majoring in English and minoring in Spanish, Amber received her B.A. from Tulane University in New Orleans in 2003. She was an active member of Sigma Tau Delta, the National English Honor Society, and Tulane's own Lit. Society. She served on the editing board of the Tulane Review for three years.
Amber has been teaching a variety of English courses at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette for the past seven years. She also teaches math, reading, writing, social studies and science courses for a local adult education program on a part-time basis. Not only does she track the latest developments in effective teaching techniques, but she also follows the impact made on higher education by political and economic trends.
