Kira received her undergraduate degree from Haverford College (PA) where she wrote for the school paper, performed in an a cappella group and played varsity squash.
Kira earned her Master's of Specialized Journalism (with a focus on sports and society) from the University of Southern California.
Kira has covered sports from baseball to squash for a variety of outlets including college athletic websites, a summer collegiate baseball league, MiLB.com, MLB.com and both local and regional newspapers. In addition to game stories, she has written profile pieces, features and columns. She has the most experience covering collegiate and professional baseball, but she is familiar with most sports including soccer, football, hockey, squash, lacrosse, field hockey and water polo.
Kira enjoys writing travel pieces for her blog. She loves exploring new cities and finding out about all the fun and exciting things going on in them. In addition to attending events (sporting events, concerts etc.) she also particularly enjoys the challenge of learning how to get around new places via public transportation and tasting the food at different restaurants.
Kira ran all of the PR and marketing campaigns for a fitness startup in 2012-2013. During her tenure she wrote and placed a fitness articles in a variety of publications, mostly magazines. She also created and maintained a fitness blog for the company.
Kira has written articles for a variety of publications ranging from newspapers to magazines to websites. She has covered Minor League Baseball extensively, including a stint writing for MiLB.com and MLB.com. She has also written about a variety of other sports including squash, golf, football and water polo. She has also written features including a number of profile pieces.
Kira has been the social media manager for the Annenberg Institute of Sports, Media and Society at the University of Southern California and for ProCore Sports, the makers of ExcelCord. In both roles she was responsible for creating content for all of the organizations' social media platforms, including Facebook.

Kira created and maintained a blog called On the Path to Greatness for a startup called ProCore Sports. In addition to interviews with athletes and a series called Sport Spotlight, she would create weekly motivational posts and choose an Exercise of the Week every Wednesday. The Exercise of the Week posts often included graphics created by Kira.
