Megann offers proofreading, copyediting, or developmental editing services for fiction manuscripts. She specializes in fantasy, science fiction, steampunk, and basically anything with magic (or dragons, or starlight and spaceflight and gods that walk the worlds) but can edit anything as long as it's fiction (or creative non-fiction, in some cases).

Outside of editing, Megann spends her time trying to write her own novels with a pair of cats on her keyboard. When she's not being creative at all, she's either drinking coffee (the fuel of every writer), practicing Aikido, hiking in the mountains, or trying to get middle schoolers to follow Order of Operations as a math tutor (her day job). ​
Megann graduated cum laude from Maharishi International University in the summer of 2019 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Creative & Professional Writing and a Minor in Art. Worked as a writing tutor in the Writing Center for nearly three years, and as the fiction editor for the literary magazine, Metafore, for two issues in her senior year.
Megann has worked on a number of projects in the publishing industry, including as a developmental editor and proofreader for a dozen manuscripts, writing and editing manuscript synopsis and publishing query letters, and acting as a fiction editor for a literary magazine.
As well as her freelance work, Megann is currently working as the in-house editor at Starwhale Books publishing house, and as the editor-in-chief of their upcoming literary flash fiction magazine, Flashes of Magic.
Megann has worked in the education industry as a Writing Tutor at Maharishi International University for three years, and is currently a Math Tutor at her local middle school. In addition to her first-hand experience in the industry, Megann has both written and edited a collection of educational blog posts with a focus on helping other authors and creatives develop the skills necessary for their craft.
Megann has worked on a number of projects writing and editing content for creative websites, including company bios, about pages, homepage design, blurb writing, product descriptions, email subscriptions, and blog content creation for editors, artists, writers, photographers, and story archive sites.
Megann has both written and edited a number of blog posts focusing on the publishing industry (mainly self-publishing) and speculative fiction writing and world-building.
Megann has worked on a number of scripts, both as a developmental editor and a proofreader, editing for story structure and readability, content, word-flow, grammar and punctuation, and checking against industry standards and guidelines.
Megann has worked as both an editor and writer, creating and editing content for multiple websites across many industries and for many clients including artist, editors, authors, personal story archives, and small businesses. Content examples include home-page design and content editing, about pages, product descriptions, and blog post content creation.
Megann has completed many editing projects for fiction books (children's books, short fiction, novels, publishing synopsis, book blurbs, and scripts). Projects include developmental editing, copyediting, line-editing, and proofreading.
