Marina's specialties lie in the areas of spirituality, self-reflection, personal study and growth. She is particularly gifted in the graphic creation of modern labyrinths.
Currently, Marina is particularly interested in self-reflection and spiritual subjects such as angels, alchemy and magic. She is a constant student of human nature, with a smattering of knowledge ranging from History and Sociology to Philosophy to Screenwriting and Occult Science. Marina also has literary experience with book design, illustration, editing and proofreading, and seeks to to broaden her practical knowledge in these areas.
Have served as Virtual Assistant for a spiritually-based radio show (4 years), and Senior Editor for OM Times Online Magazine (3 years - back in its infancy). Have written and edited many self-reflective articles with a spiritual focus, as well as producing social media graphics with spiritual themes.
Served as Poetry Editor, Layout and Article Editor, and Writer for OM Times Online Digital Magazine when it was still in its infancy. Gained experience in web site building and design, professional editing and graphic layout, business directory database listings, and mentoring. My association with OM Times was an essential factor in the growth and quality of my skills.
Other contracts I have worked on include Environmental Health and Safety, Museum Volunteer Policy, Emergency Exit Signage, Various Virtual Assistance Projects and Updating Technical Manuals. I have also been a Controlled Goods Vendor for the Government of Canada in the past, working on sensitive information projects for government departments.
Produced and edited several Volunteer Handbooks of various size and depth. The editing sample is from an Art Gallery Volunteer Handbook produced to educate volunteers in the art of conducting public group tours.
Produced a 400-page policy and procedures manual for college students attending the Power Engineering Program at a local college. The manual included detailed descriptions and photos of the learning labs and procedures for students to follow for proper operations and safety.
Produced and edited a large student handbook for a local college Power Engineering Program. The document involved writing, editing, and proofreading. I also updated technical drawings of the practical training labs with AutoCAD, and created an extensive pictorial file of all equipment contained in the labs.
Have written many articles over the years for magazines, web sites, newspapers and newsletters. Serving as Poetry Editor, Layout and Article Editor, and Staff Writer for OM Times Magazine, I wrote and edited a monthly editorial. The sample is one of the poetry editorials.
Held a ‘Good News’ column with a local newspaper meeting a weekly deadline for over 10 years. Conducted research and interviews, wrote and edited the column. The sample is a reflection of Remembrance Day , November 11th.
