Van has over 25 years of experience and a wide birth of skills. During that time he has cultivated a career ranging from freelance in small towns to corporate jobs in large cities, from hand-drawn designs to 3D animation and video production.

After earning his BFA, his career began with his first illustration commission. From there he fell into the web, making sites, print for marketing materials, and logos for local companies. From there he moved to Washington, D.C. where he created web assets, Flash animations and interactive websites, as well as illustrations, print, logo, icons for corporations and defense contractors.

After relocating years later, he was hired to design and help develop a LMS/CMS for a training center. During the process, he had to be very adaptable, learning multiple programming languages. Always trying to push himself, Van taught himself to use 3D Max to create high-level learning assets and animations as well as Adobe Premiere to help create video assets.

Now, Van's primary focus is in 3D modeling and animation as well as video editing, but his other skills are often called upon to enhance those projects.
