In a nutshell, Brett's a Christian geek, artist & designer, eater of more chocolate than is healthy, and an aspiring writer.

Brett went to school to be a comic book artist (yep, he totally convinced his parents to let him go into debt in order to become a professional geek), but he's spent the last decade creating environmental graphics (wall graphics) and signage, infographics and fliers, online marketing materials, websites (via CRMs), and much more. From large format to apparel design, God's given him a wide range of experiences to draw from for each and every project he does.

Brett has been blessed to work with a huge variety of clients, from Chick-fil-A to major D1 universities, and he'd love to do a project together. Reach out and say hello and create something no one wants to forget.

Education

The Kubert School

Brett graduated from one of the only schools in the country that specializes in comic book illustration, the Kubert School (formerly the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art). The Kubert school is filled with instructors currently working in the comic book industry, features three years of intensive art, illustration, story telling, and writing courses, and is essentially like boot camp for illustrators. If you survive, you're rewarded with portfolio reviews from editors at Marvel and DC and an opportunity to land the kind of gig comic geeks dream of. Though he did not land the dream gig, he did receive valuable training that has allowed him to bring a unique vision and skillset into industries typically served by traditionally trained graphic designers.

Website

17 Projects Completed

Website creation can be tricky given how many ways there are to build them. Brett uses CMS (content management systems) such as Wordpress, Wix, Weebly, Squarespace, Square, and others to create slick, responsive, speed-conscious sites designed for conversion.

Need ecommerce set up? He can do that too. Ecwid, Big Commerce, Shopify, and Woocommerce are all within his wheel house.

And he's happy to show you the ropes so you can handle updates as needed and no longer have to outsource all of your web design needs.

Emails

2 Projects Completed

Looking to add some pop to your E-Newsletter? (Or printed newsletter for that matter?) Brett can help. Using Constant Contact, Mail Chimp, or a CMS of your choice, he can work to maximize the limitations of email clients and keep your content fresh, relevant, and ready to make an impact in your client's inboxes.
