As a designer Cat has performed hundreds of assignments for an array of clients. Versatile skills include Photoshop photo editing and retouching, Layout design for brochures, catalogs, look books, emails, ads, billboards, banners and websites. Illustrator skills include logo design, image conversion from raster to vector and image manipulation for different usage. As an art director, Cat has managed ad campaigns and annual advertising budgets for major retailers.
Cat has worked in numerous industries including fashion, beauty, electronics, medical, furniture, health clubs, education, travel, entertainment and small business. Although her interests are varied, she is always open to learning about new topics and enjoys researching and learning more about any new or emerging industry.
Major area of study was photography with a minor in graphic design. This course of study was not computer based because that was not used. Working for many years as a photo stylist and assistant art director to Mike McNeilly and his Creative Services company. We accomplished dozens of catalogs produced with paste up on art boards with linotroic typesetting equipment and stat photography.
Working as an art director for Platt Electronics and MacMall, PC Mall and DataCom catalogs, Cat has been well grounded in design for electronics, stereos, digital recording devices, computer software and hardware. Cat has designed, ads, direct mail flyers, catalogs and other promotional pieces.
Cat has worked for Nickelodeon Studios in Los Angeles to create products for their gift shop. She designed promotional flyers, booklets, coloring books and small gift items with cartoon graphics on them. She also worked with numerous film companies to produce promotional posters, annual reports, video box sets and DVD jackets.
Working for a magazine publisher, Cat designed magazine articles for NailPro magazine which included nail design and salon products.
Cat worked with the LAUSD to promote different Charter school services and programs. Summer Camp posters and brochures for several schools and local dance and acting groups.
As a writer Cat has written and designed dozens of articles for online publications and printed magazines. Utilizing topics and content from her employers she has created exciting content with driving headlines and provocative topics.
As a designer Cat has included her promotional writing as part of her design suite of skills. These projects normally conform to the business model and promotional content chosen by her clients.
Working for online publications, Cat has written many news stories that were based on local amenities and services.
Cat has provided content for several blogs and allowed her writing to be published without name credit.
