Until April of 2014, Christina worked as a Technical Services Assistant for American Contractors Insurance Group in Richardson, TX. The company hired her in June 2012 as the assistant to the sole Quality Consultant. After the first year, her role has expanded to include assisting a second Quality Consultant and two Safety Consultants. In October of 2013, she redesigned ACIG's Quality Newsletter to better parallel the company's service mission and values, creating a renewed interest in the quarterly publication. She was often asked to create and organize content related to Quality Assurance and/or the Construction Industry for the newsletter. She served on the company Branding Committee, where she assisted with a project to redesign the company logo and created a company style guide to improve the consistency of all company documents, literature, and publications. She also served on the company Website Committee and was responsible for creating and maintaining Quality Department content on the company intranet and the public website. She was a leader in project automation and streamlining procedures in order to maximize efficiency within the Safety/Quality Department.

From June to August 2011, Christina worked as a freelance proofreader for Silver Publishing. Her responsibility was to proofread manuscripts to ensure they were ready for publication. She worked on a non-monetary compensation basis until August, when she left the position to be able to concentrate on her college courses.

In August 2005, Christina began working for Keller Independent School District as a food service employee. By January 2007, she had been promoted to Data Clerk for the Maintenance Department. In this position, she assisted the Director of Maintenance with creating and editing proposals, presentations, memos, and other department documents. Twice a year, she taught full day training sessions for district employees using the online work order system, and she created a training manual for users.

Christina co-founded The Writer's Block, a forum-based website geared toward writers to help them improve their reading, writing, and analyzing skills, in August 2006. The website ran until December 2009 and is no longer in operation. As an administrator and moderator for the site, she wrote columns for the monthly newsletter on global current events, site news, and general advice. She also provided proofreading and beta-reading assistance on a non-professional level to site members. In 2008, she and the administrative team began conducting online writing classes, and Christina created lesson plans and worksheets on grammar and writing mechanics.
