Bette is a wife, mother and home schooler of five, a teacher of accelerated English to foreign exchange students, a health and fitness nut, dancer, musician and chef. She speaks to raise awareness about the need for healing in Africa and has collected money, taught machine knitting, and donated materials and machinery to supply church and women's work co-op groups in Uganda, Rwanda and Kenya. Bette is currently studying the practical applications of urban farming, and began experimenting with organic container gardening, apiculture and poultry rearing in Spring 2013.
Bette studied the finer parts of French language: conversation, phonetics, culture, grammar and literature. Her courses in Political Science covered diplomacy, policy, parliamentary debate and civics.

Bette has been a crafter since childhood. Her main love is fiber arts, but she also loves painting, woodworking and design. She has devoted much of her time to teaching and sharing her experiences with students of all ages and abilities. Her obsession with alternative knitting techniques such as knitting machines and looms has made her a popular speaker and advocate for cottage industry and self sufficiency groups.
Bette has written many articles about freelance work, seeking and finding employment, and personal branding. These articles are written from her personal experiences, and offer an insider view to succeeding in light of the precarious economy. Her research, insight and helpful information give the reader a solid foundation to explore the topics further.
Bette is an advocate of community service, and believes giving back to be a natural progression for successful living. She has raised thousands of dollars in donations for various church, Arts and educational groups. Her personal donations consist of the Three T's: time, treasure and talent. Bette regularly donates her time to write and create awareness for many organizations, support the groups' events, and to put her purchase power behind their cause.
Bette has successfully worked in online marketing for the past six years for various clients, providing marketing copy, weekly email blasts and social media posts for upscale realtors, hypnotherapists, recipe databases and other products and services. She has also written and edited her own blogs and online magazine, and does the majority of her sales and marketing through Squidoo and their related niche market online magazines.
